Unit 19, Sovereign Centre, Boscombe

A CHANGE of premises has made all the difference to trade at West Country Wigmakers who have recently moved into Unit 19 at Boscombe’s Sovereign Centre.

Poole-based commercial property agents Sibbett Gregory agreed a deal for clients Stokes plc (via McMullen Commercial) to sub-let the unit for eight years at a rent of £18,500 per annum.

The tenant had been trading on a temporary basis in the Sovereign Centre Mall but decided to expand into the permanent unit which had been empty for some time.

Christopher Gawman of West Country Wigmakers said: “We wanted to provide our customers with better facilities and this new premises has enabled us to do so. Its size means that we can display goods more effectively, and we now have space for a private fitting room. Many of our customers are people with
disabilities, and the whole of the shop is easily accessible by wheelchair. We had many people through the doors even on the first day of opening, and since then we’ve had a fantastic response from our suppliers as well as our shopping
public.”

Stephen Coles of Sibbett Gregory said: “I am delighted to hear from the tenant that they are already trading well in excess of expectations which is excellent news in the current climate.”
